Starting when he was Schurr High School's college counselor, Andy Castillo has been with the CBT program since its inception in 2008, taking on the role as coordinator for the program and eventually for the district when CBT was implemented at all 4 comprehensive high schools. Mr. Castillo is very familiar with the college application process through his work as a reader of freshman applications at UCLA, his working relationships with college representatives across the U.S., and his roles on the Executive Board for the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC). Currently, Mr. Castillo is enjoying retirement after 38 years as an educator while he continues to be a resource for the CBT program by serving as Counselor Emeritus.
Employed by Montebello Unified School District, Christian Sandoval is assigned to serve as College Bound Today Program Specialist. Ms. Sandoval has served as an educator for more than 22 years. Born and raised in Mexico City, she moved to the United States as a young girl with her family with faith that an American education would open new doors for a better life. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She completed her teaching credential from Cal State University, Los Angeles. Since then, she returned back to her alma mater to work on her graduate work as well as her Administrative Credential.
Stefania Nieto provides administrative support for the non-profit organization. Stefania holds a B.A. from California State University, Fullerton, in Communications, with a focus on broadcast journalism.
